I AM STEAM

NextGen, a workforce program for young adults ages 16 - 24, is partnering with Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) and other community partners to ignite a passion for all things STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art and Math).

Kick off your weekend with I AM STEAM. This event will be held at Central Piedmont’s Harper Campus on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 3 pm - 7 pm.

Swagging Rights: The first 300 attendees will receive a swag bag with a meal ticket and other takeaways. You'll also need the bag for other merch from vendors represented at the event.

Highlights for our upcoming event:

· STEAM Demonstrations (such as robotics, welding, science and artist demos)

· Food Trucks (Food Truck Friday, anyone?)

· Emcee Ohavia Phillips (Social Media Influencer and "The Oh Show" )

· DJ (Yes, a DJ, but what's an event without a vibe?)

· Swag bag with meal tickets (for the food trucks) and Giveaways

This event is more than an introduction to STEAM. Experience the jobs related to STEAM as well as meet with the employers who hire in these fields. There is great potential for employment in these fields as well as with employers at the event.

We encourage you to register for the event, as we will send e-mail and text reminders. A large turnout is expected, so plan to be on time as only the first 300 to the event will get a Swag Bag.
