A 2.5 hour workshop for girls aged 8-12, taking a deep dive into learning about what resilience is, how to bounce back from setbacks and when things don’t go our way. Introducing the concept of Marvellous Mistakes and Fantastic Failures (Did you know the invention of the chocolate chip cookie was a fantastic failure?).In the crucial tween years of 8-12, kids are starting to experience challenges with friendships, their world is changing as they begin to move from child to teenager, emotions can begin erupting and this is when they can begin to form the false narrative that they are not enough.
I AM RESILIENT is one of a series of workshops from the Empower Me Within Program to give kids the skills to move into the teenage years with CONFIDENCE, RESILIENCE and a sense of CALM. Knowing that they are ENOUGH just as they are, in their perfect uniqueness.
