A part of the mind is never truly satisfied. It is always reaching for something - seeking, striving, imagining that fulfillment lies just around the corner. Even when the body is completely at ease, this restless movement continues in the background.
In some lives, this seeking turns toward quick and immediate fixes: substances, food, sex, or material possessions. In others, it takes on a more subtle form - pursuing personal growth, success, spiritual experiences, or even enlightenment itself.
Though the objects may differ, the movement is the same: a mind searching for completion somewhere other than here.
This weekend retreat is an invitation to turn gently toward this movement itself. Not to judge it or suppress it, but to see it for what it truly is.
Together, we will explore:
• The recognition of our pure, unfiltered experience in the present moment.
• Self-inquiry as a doorway into the direct recognition of the true Self.
• The imagined, separate self and its appearance through both psychology and eastern traditions.
• The addictive nature of identification with the mind’s stories and patterns.
• Exploring and discovering the true desire beneath the seeking mind.
• Practical ways of relaxing, seeing through, and allowing the grip of the imagined self to soften.
Through guided meditations, self-inquiry practices, embodiment practices, yoga and shared reflections, we will move beyond the initial recognition of presence and begin to notice what lies underneath the ever-seeking mind. This retreat offers a space to discover the simplicity of being and to explore what it means to live more freely from awareness itself.
Suitable for those who have already begun exploring presence or self-inquiry, and who feel called to go deeper.
