Pack the sunscreen and sunglasses and get ready to criss-cross the Atlantic as Hypnotic Mindscapes makes our OFF-week debut alongside partners-in-crime Kimchi Records. We have planned a daytime fiesta in Barcelona during Sonar week designed to keep memories of long underwear at bay.
Kicking off Thursday June 16th, this daytime party triangulates latitudes and longitudes, bringing together Hypnotic Mindscapes and Kimchi family from either side of the prime meridian. Making her Barcelona debut will be Daura, Montreal's mysterious selector whose records paint with intense emotion and color. We will also be joined by Kimchi and HM alumni, the renowned Ecuadorian producer and prince of hardware, Fauna Extinta (Nicola Cruz alias). Showcasing his dance floor bonafides, this new project aims to focus on DJ sets of deep electro, techno, and house cuts all fused with the characteristic feeling that channels through his work.
No party would be complete without HM and Kimchi residents. We are excited to reunite Cosmic JD, Patamamba, and Chicaiza who will, as per usual, be reaching deep into their crates to soundtrack the dog days of summer.
Hosted at Studio Carbonnell inside the beautiful Buena Onda Social Club in Gracia, expect an intimate afternoon and evening of future sounds, bubbling spritzers, and hints of epicurean indulgence. This is a very limited capacity event and advanced tickets are highly encouraged.
