Please join us on Friday, September 19, at 6:00pm in the sanctuary for an Immanuel hymn sing! A hymn sing is basically a concertwhere the songs are all hymns normally heard in our worship services. This means that, unlike a normal concert, the congregation is the most important part. Participants will get to hear a variety of choirs and instrumentalists, but the main attraction is singing together! The theme of our hymn sing is “Singing the Story of Jesus: Immanuel’s Favorite Hymns through the Church Year.”
What better way to start this event than with an Advent hymn that includes the name of our church: “O Come, O Come
Emmanuel,” reminding us that God is with us as we live out our stories in the bigger Story of his Son! Together, we will also sing
favorites like, “We Praise You and Acknowledge You, O God,” “Holy, Holy, Holy,” and “Lo! He Comes with Clouds
Descending.” We hope you’ll join us, and please feel free to bring a friend!
