Please contact me to book your place as numbers are limited.
It will be your new favourite thing to do!
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath completely immerses, or ‘bathes’ you in sound.
My sound baths usually last for around an hour. Participants lay on a yoga mat or padded mat or if they struggle to get down low enough they can sit in a reclining chair for the duration of the sound bath. After settling in with a guided, grounding relaxation, I then play the instruments in a way that encourages the conscious mind to let go and the unconscious mind to take over, which is where the deep relaxation occurs and our parasympathetic nervous system is activated, which is responsible for our natural self-healing ability.
Each person’s experience of a sound bath will be unique and people are often presented with the experience that they need in that moment. Some people fall asleep, some see colour, some experience visions, others have physical sensations.
Following a sound bath people often report increased feelings of wellbeing, contentment and balance, improved sleep quality, reduction in feelings of stress and anxiety alongside other physical benefits.
What to bring:
Please make sure you wear warm socks, comfortable clothes and bring with you a yoga matt or padded matt, a pillow if you need one and a blanket.
If you are not comfortable lying down you may bring a reclining deck chair or similar to be seated on instead. Please let me know upon booking so I can plan the room layout.
Are sound baths suitable for everyone?
No! There are some exclusions.... sound baths are not suitable in the following circumstances:
Pregnancy (1st 12 weeks)
Deep vein thrombosis
Sensitivity to sound/conditions triggered by sound - some cases of Epilepsy (again speak to me to check)
Pacemaker/defibrillator (instruments not to be placed on or too near to the affected area)
Any metallic implant (instruments not to be placed on or too near to the affected area).
If you have a medical condition or concerns and are unsure if a sound bath is suitable for you, please contact me directly on 07500137365 or by email at [email protected]
I hope to hear from you soon to book your place at this event.
Love to you all.
