Hyeonseon Baek & The Bridge is a New York–based jazz quartet led by Korean vocalist and songwriter Hyeonseon Baek, whose debut album Longing (2024) was named one of Jazz Weekly’s Top 10 New Releases of the Year and received a ★★★★ review from All About Jazz. The group performs modern, straight-ahead jazz that blends lyrical storytelling with vibrant ensemble interplay.
For this performance, Baek is joined by pianist Hyuna Park, bassist Koji Cassetta, saxophonist Chris Ferrari, and drummer Alex Yoo—four dynamic voices from New York’s contemporary jazz scene.
Hyeonseon Baek is a Korean-born jazz vocalist and songwriter who blends jazz tradition with soul, improvisation, and cultural storytelling. Based in New York City, his debut album Longing (2024) earned a four-star review from All About Jazz and was named one of Jazz Weekly’s Top 10 Albums of the Year.
Hyuna Park is an award-winning jazz pianist whose music fuses New York’s jazz energy with her Korean and classical roots. A winner of the International Women in Jazz Festival and the Jimmy Heath Award, she has performed with leading artists at major venues across NYC.
Koji Cassetta is a New York City–based award-winning upright and electric bassist from Detroit, MI. A student of world-renowned bassist Rodney Whitaker, he has performed widely throughout NYC, including Lincoln Center, The Django, and Minton’s Playhouse.
Alex Yoo is a Korean-American drummer from Queens, New York, whose dynamic and versatile style bridges jazz, indie pop, and creative music. A graduate of the New England Conservatory, he has performed internationally and is set to release a new album with his duo project, PuriKoko.
Chris Ferrari is a Denver-born, New York–based saxophonist and composer known for his inventive approach to improvisation. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and the New England Conservatory, he has performed with artists such as Sean Jones, Dianne Reeves, and Dave Holland.
