This Emergency Medical Responder course is perfect for those wishing to enter the Emergency Medical Services. The most common registrants are fire fighters, law enforcement, and first responder squads. This course is the entry level certification for those wishing to join an organization to understand how to appropriately respond to medical emergencies. Emergency Medical Responders provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who access the emergency medical services system. EMRs have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate, lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources to arrive.
Registering for this Hybrid Emergency Medical Responder course will gain you access to our online didactic material to be completed at your own pace. After completion of our online didactic material, students will attend their chosen skills session to attend and complete the required skills, scenarios, and American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
Course fees include:
-Online Didactic Access through our Learning Management System.
-AHA BLS Certification
-Skills weekend after completing the online didactic (does not include lodging, meals, or travel).
-Daily snacks and beverages during the skills weekend.
-Loaned EMR Textbook mailed to you at no additional cost. (If you would like a new EMR book to keep, you can make that selection during registration at an additional cost).

Winter 2025 Skills Session:
Friday, January 31, 2025 - 6pm-10pm
Saturday, February 1, 2025 - 9am-6pm
Sunday, February 2, 2025 - 8am-4pm

*Students must complete their online didactic material prior to the skills weekend. Failure to complete the coursework prior to the skills weekend will constitute course failure and student will be required to register for a different skills session unless other arrangements have been made with the instruction staff.
**Cancellation/Refund Policy: Registration fees will not be refundable once any portion of the online material/LMS site is accessed. The student will not be issued a refund for failure to complete the course. Online course material must be completed prior to the skills weekend. A fee of $100 will be assessed to the student/agency for loaned books that are not returned or loaned books that are returned damaged beyond use or repair.
