CCU's Department of Theatre PresentsHYACINTH
Discovery Series of Student-Led Projects
Hyacinth is a newly devised work by Walker Kemp, senior B.F.A. theatre arts major with a concentration in acting, based on an ancient Greek myth about Hyacinthus, the prince of Sparta, retold as a contemporary cautionary tale. The work centers on the relationship between Hayes, a recent college graduate, and Leo, a well-known musician. Hyacinth uses music and dance to tell both the mythical and contemporary stories, employing music and dance as devices to bend time and space.
