Applications Are Now Open | Women’s Guide Training & Leadership Program – February 2026 We are inviting licensed Nepali female trekking guides to apply for our Women-Focused Guide Training & Leadership Program happening in February 2026. SPACE IS LIMITED. APPLY NOW.
This program goes beyond the commercial trekking routes.
Together, we are building a strong community of women guides who are trained, confident, and prepared to walk, trek, and lead across the full 1,700 km Great Himalaya Trail — not just the popular sections.
The Great Himalaya Trail has 10 sections, and we believe women are fully qualified to lead all of them.
Yet even today, women guides are often overlooked, doubted, or told that only men can lead long-distance or remote trails. This training exists to change that narrative.
Our goal is to:
• Cultivate female experts in long-distance trekking • Expand women’s leadership beyond commercial routes
• Ensure women trekkers can hire female guides without pressure or bias
• Create visible role models for the next generation of women in the mountains
If you are a licensed female Nepali guide, we invite you to apply and learn more by scanning the QR code on the visual or via this link https://www.theportervoicecollective.org/himalayan-women-trail-leaders
