About this Event
HWLincs is excited to announce the 2025 VOICE Conference which takes place on Wednesday 12 February 2024 at Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln.
The conference will draw on the work, learning and connections of HWLincs to engage and support professionals from organisations and charities to make the most of public voice and implement positive change for the residents of Lincolnshire.
We would love for you to join us on this informative and interactive day that will feature national speakers, local health and social care leaders and the chance to help guide our collective vision for public engagement.
Through workshops, presentations and networking sessions, you will leave the event with new ideas and strong bonds for collaborative approaches. Contributing on the day will be Healthwatch England, the NHS and Adult Social Care, along with many other partners.
The VOICE Conference is appropriate for anyone working in the health and care sector, public engagement or a representative of a community or group and has been built to promote the importance of public voice and bring together partners to showcase the work going on across the county.

Empowering people and professionals to speak up
Attendees will hear from national and local speakers, have the opportunity to network, speak to a number of stalls in a marketplace and take part in a carrousel of workshops during the day. Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day with the chance to feedback on your thoughts about the key drivers of the NHS 10 Year Plan.
Workshop 1: Engaging with seldom heard communities
A workshop showcasing insights from work completed with Lincolnshire residents for the CQC reports on people who sell sex and Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities. There will be information provided on future work and discussions on how we can collaborate, influence, and inform service delivery.
Workshop 2: Healthwatch Lincolnshire research projects
This workshop will provide an overview of Healthwatch Lincolnshire’s key research initiatives, with a particular focus on topics related to menstrual health, infant feeding, and pelvic health. Attendees will gain insights into the findings and impact of these projects, covering womens health, neurological and respiratory conditions and mental health, as well as opportunities to discuss how this work contributes to improving health outcomes and addressing community needs.
Workshop 3: Connecting to communities and elevating public voice
This workshop will explore how we can strengthen existing partnerships, collaborate and better connect to amplify the voice of our different communities across the county. Together, we will discuss making actionable pledges, fostering meaningful collaborations, and building on shared goals to create lasting impact.
Please join us for the VOICE Conference at this pivotal time when the national and local focus is about putting the voice of those with lived experience at the heart of services and decisions.
