Start Point: Gather at the Truist Bank Parking Lot 709 East 3rd Ave. New Smyrna Beach (closed on Sundays.) Tailgate Registration 12:30PM Look for yellow "Walk Start" sign and a group gathering.Join the Happy Wanderers for these AVA-sanctioned 5KM (3.1 miles) or 11 (6.8 miles) group walks in quaint New Smyrna Beach, FL.
The 11KM walk includes the downtown shopping areas on both the mainland side and the peninsula, and you will walk across the high highway bridge as well as the lower causeway bridge.
Please carry your own water & wear walking shoes.
Pace: 1 mile every 20 minutes. Or, walk at your own pace, simply pick up a set of Map/Directions when you register.
The cost is $4.00 for participants 12yrs old or older. Children to be accompanied by an adult. Stamp your books! This is an AVA/IVV YRE event.
The walk is rated 1C and includes a section on the beach. The remainder of the walk is on sidewalks and is suitable for wheelchairs/strollers. Pets are allowed but must be leashed and picked up after, NOT allowed on beach.
