Alongside contributing artists Steve Chinhsuan Wang, Nikolas Gekko, and Sava Zivkovic, Ben will explore worldbuilding, visual design, and storytelling behind HUXLEY and its newest chapter, The Oracle.
Schedule:
5:00 PM | Doors Open
Signed copies of HUXLEY books will be available for purchase in the Gnomon Student Store prior to the presentation. Campus tours will also be available with Gnomon Reps.
6:00–7:30 PM | Presentation at the Dell Stage
Join Ben Mauro (Call of Duty, Halo Infinite) for an in-depth look at the creation and evolution of HUXLEY, his original sci-fi universe more than a decade in the making. Ben will trace the project’s journey from early worldbuilding and character development through the release of the first graphic novel, before diving into the newest prequel chapter, The Oracle.
The presentation will explore how The Oracle expands the lore, themes, and scope of the HUXLEY universe, with a behind-the-scenes look at concept development, illustration workflows, and visual storytelling across media. Ben will be joined by contributing artists Steve Chinhsuan Wang (Gears 5) and Nikolas Gekko (Halo Infinite, Destiny 2), who will share insights into their collaborative process and the challenges of building a cohesive original IP at scale.
7:30–10:00 PM | Gallery Reception & Exhibition Opening
Following the presentation, guests are invited to explore a new exhibition of Ben Mauro’s HUXLEY artwork on display in the Gnomon Gallery. The reception includes small bites and drinks on the patio, with time to experience the work up close and continue the conversation inspired by the talk.
NOTE: The presentation will also be streamed on Gnomon's Twitch and YouTube channels.
