
About this Event
The number one killer in a Hurricane is not the wind, it's the flash flooding. This Hurricanes Mean Business Workshop is being sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in cooperation with the Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, and the National Weather Service. The workshop is intended for homeowners and businesses to raise awareness of the risks and threats from damaging winds, power outages and flash flooding from hurricanes.
