Please join the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in partnership with the Battery Park City Authority for our second annual commemoration for victims and survivors of Hurricane Maria - a bilingual, all-ages event, FREE! No RSVP or ticket purchase required.

** Our event consists of spoken word and live music (and an open mic - the signup sheet will be at our welcome table at our event) - we will commemorate and celebrate the resiliency, natural beauty, and creativity of Puerto Rico. The memorial design “arose from a vision that one can always transform the sad memory of adverse circumstances into something positive and poetic that can bring solace to all” - in the words of architect Segundo Cardona and artist Antonio Martorell. **
