About this Event
Be part of the next step in the journey of Huppet! After a sold-out premiere at Stanford University, this inventive and heartfelt puppet musical returns off the page for a developmental reading on Saturday, December 9th. Doors open at 6:30, and the reading begins at 7:00 PM at 915 Broadway, suite #1801.
Huppet tells the story of Lisa, a half-Puppet, half-human college student navigating her mixed identity as she visits Puppetland, her father's homeland. Torn between tradition and a leap into PuPAmS (Puppet and Puppet American Studies), Lisa’s journey is filled with humor, poignancy, and an exploration of belonging and self-discovery.
Directed by Chloe Chow and featuring an exceptional cast, the reading highlights exciting updates and new directions for this imaginative work. Stick around after the reading for a reception with food, where you can mingle with the creative team and cast.
Please note: RSVP is required to gain entry into the building.
