Huntsville Green Thinks: How Can We Cool Rocket City?

Every month people who love the environment meet up at informal sessions formerly known as Green Drinks. This has been changed to Green Thinks to ensure everyone feels welcome, no drinking required. There’s always a slightly different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organizing network. No need to register, just come as you are! We meet on the Clinton St patio of Yellowhammer Brewing, weather permitting.
This month, HEC Board President Ankur Shah will lead a mini-talk on heat resilience and showcase a brand new prototype of Huntsville’s first heat resilience platform and mapping tool. This tool is designed to support smarter planning and investment in green infrastructure by identifying areas most vulnerable to extreme heat and limited tree canopy. He holds degrees in physics and Earth science and creates educational YouTube videos on environmental topics. His hobbies include ping pong, hiking, reading, and foraging.
