About this Event
In this workshop you will learn the steps to make your own stained glass hummingbird panel. This intermediate level workshop will be approximately 10 x 8 in size, and will be framed in zinc. All equiptment, tools, foil, solder, flux, patina, zinc and hangers will be provided.
Due to the size of project, please bring your own glass. I'm estimating you will need two 12x12" sheets of the background glass, and 8x10" (minimum) of additional glass for the hummingbird, flower and stem (or since the stem is small, your welcome to look at what I have in stock). Of course the amount of glass is an estimate, as it also depends on the direction of the glass to the pattern and how it breaks. This 6 week workshop will begin Tuesday, October 15th, ending November 26th (skip the week of November 12th) starting at 6:00 p.m. ending at 8:00 p.m. I am somewhat flexible if you have something urgent come up on a night of class.
Ages 14+ due to the use of lead-based solder, hot soldering iron and chemicals. Please no pregnant or nursing mothers. Dress comfortably, no open-toed shoes. All safety equipment will be available for you to use, or feel free to bring your own to assure proper fit.
The "Going" button does not get you registered or reserve you a seat in class. You must reserve your seat via EventBrite.com or contact me to make other arrangements. Class size is limited to 6 people so it may fill up quickly.
Class is located on Highway 75 (Washington Blvd) in Bartlesville just south of Tuxedo next to Diamond's Dog Grooming and across the highway from the Hampton Inn. Additional directions will be provided via email a few days prior to workshop.
