Sierra Vista is the Hummingbird Capital of the United States, so what better place can there be to hunt for hummingbirds? This trip is a joint venture between the City of Sierra Vista and Southwest Wings Birding and Nature Festival. The cost is $25 per person and its open to all ages. The trip will involve getting in and out of a van, walking on some easy walking trails for short distances, and sitting quietly at times to observe the birds in their natural habitat and at designated feeder stations. This exciting trip is led by professional bird guide Kristy Gallo and is a great introductory trip for beginners. This is a birding and wildlife viewing activity, so it is important participants bring binoculars to fully experience this activity to avoid disappointment. The trip will start with participants boarding a van from the Ethel Berger Center will go to Ramsey Canyon and Ash Canyon Sanctuary. Water, snacks, and a Subway box lunch will be provided for this tour. A variety of sandwich, chip, and cookie options are available at time of registration.
