Observe expert banders catalogue the incoming hummingbirds!Hummingbirds have started their migration south! Join banders Rebekah Rylander and Kelly Bryan and watch them work their magic placing the smallest band on one of the smallest birds. You won't want to miss this opportunity!
When: SUNDAY, September 28, 8:30-10:30am
Where: Warbler Way bird-viewing area (near the restrooms)
Parking: You can park in front of the restrooms, Youth Group Area, or Turks Cap trailhead nearby.
Bring: Sun protection, hydration, camera, and your questions
Accessibility: Accessible parking located on site. The viewing table will be set up near a sidewalk. For questions on accessibility, email [email protected]
Cost: Free with park entrance permit
FYI:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Groups larger than eight please contact Sara Rock for a private event.
- Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
