Come explore Detroit International Wildlife Refuge. This small park is located along the banks of the Detroit River in Gibraltar Michigan. It's a good place to see many migrants as well as many summer resident birds. Come ready to look for warblers, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, flycatchers, swallows, sparrows, and more. Admission is free, but they do have a nature center where you can donate or purchase gifts, open 10am-4pm. The main trail at this park can be extremely muddy during the spring, so please wear boots or shoes you don't mind getting dirty as the refuge encourages guests to walk through the mud, not around it, to limit erosion and plant damage. Plan to bring your binoculars, monocular, or camera as migrants should be numerous. Wearing bug repellent is advised.
