A group of local musicians and myself have felt the pull on our hearts to help with the relief efforts in Florida. So we have found two Toledo bars ( Wheelin on the Rocks and Papa's Tavern ), one bar in Bowling Green ( Brewing Green ), and one in Fostoria (Venue 18 ) who are willing to open their doors to us for an event. We will hold coordinating events on November 17th, to help collect supplies to take down and deliver to hard hit areas in Florida. We are partnering with a church and tattoo shop in Tarpon Springs Florida. Both organizations will be helping to organize our distribution efforts into a giveaway. At this free event, we will be passing out needed supplies to weather ravaged families. Supplies such as, building and cleaning supplies, personal care items, clothing and shoes for kids and adults, food, gift cards, water, and more. These are the donations we are asking you to bring to fill the trucks on November 17th. We are also looking for assistance with the following items. We need a box truck to take the items to Florida. And a rental car is needed to get us home if the box truck is to be left in Florida. (Like a one way trip if it is uhaul)
Stay tuned for the band line up. We will also have a direct donation link to the church. And a specific list of needs as given to us by the residents of the hurricanes torn communities.
