Humane Holiday Market

Join us Saturday January 3, 2026 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Sanger Hall for the very first Humane Holiday Market hosted by artists and organizers CHANT3L and Lailani Gibson

Come as you are for a low pressure, community centered shopping day featuring free entry, pay what you can tables with high quality items, a community swap table for gift giving, affordable local food, live music, and a special performance.

This Humane Holiday Market is about repairing our relationship to community and care through resource sharing, honest connection, and access to holistic wellness. Pull up, meet your neighbors, and leave with gifts, support, and new people in your corner.

🚇 By Train

1. From Times Square–42nd Street station, take the 7 train toward Queens (Flushing/34th Street).
2. Get off at 46th Street-Bliss St.
3. Walk about 5 minutes east to 48-20 Skillman Ave.
4. You’ll arrive at Sanger Hall.

Estimated time: ~25 minutes, depending on train schedule.

🚌 By Bus (or Train + Bus)

1. From Times Square, walk to nearby bus stops on 7th Avenue or 8th Avenue and catch a Queens-bound bus (for example the Q32 or other route toward Sunnyside/Woodside).
2. Ride until you’re near Skillman Avenue in Sunnyside/Woodside.
3. Walk a few blocks to 48-20 Skillman Ave.

This can be slower than the direct 7 train, but might be more scenic.

🚌 By Bus from Times Square (Accessibility Option)

If you prefer a calmer ride above ground, this bus route takes you directly into Sunnyside near the venue.

From Times Square, walk to 7th Avenue and West 41st Street.

Take the Q32 bus toward Jackson Heights or Woodside.

Stay on the bus as it crosses into Queens along Queens Boulevard.

Get off near Skillman Avenue and 48th Street.

Walk a few steps down Skillman Avenue to 48-20 Skillman Ave.

You will arrive right at Sanger Hall.

Estimated time

About 35 to 40 minutes depending on traffic.

This option is peaceful if you want to avoid transfers and enjoy the ride through midtown into Sunnyside.

🚗 By Car / Rideshare

1. From Times Square, take 7th Avenue north to the Midtown Tunnel/Queensboro Bridge, or use a rideshare via Midtown toward Sunnyside.
2. Merge onto Queens Boulevard and follow signs toward Woodside / Sunnyside.
3. Turn onto Skillman Avenue and drive to 48-20 Skillman Ave.
4. Park nearby (check local street signage), then walk to Sanger Hall.

Estimated time: 20-35 minutes depending on traffic.
