This free training is host by the WV Human Trafficking Task Force Training Committee.
Human Trafficking in Rural Communities is a comprehensive training designed to build awareness, strengthen response, and improve collaboration among rural stakeholders. Participants will explore the fundamentals of human trafficking and its unique impact in rural areas, examine law enforcement and prosecutorial strategies, and learn how child protective services can effectively respond. The training also highlights the role of human trafficking task forces and emphasizes the importance of a coordinated community response. By bringing together professionals across disciplines, this training equips rural communities with the knowledge and tools needed to better identify victims, hold traffickers accountable, and build a network of support for survivors.
This training is appropriate for anyone who may work with a survivor of human trafficking, in any area of the work.
Law Enforcement, Social Work, Domestic Violence Advocate, and Sexual Assault Advocate CEUs provided (pending approval)
Lunch is not provided, but there is a restaurant on site and several others within 10-15 minutes.
