Children's Advocacy Center - Hope House will host Human Trafficking 103: Familial Trafficking to equip professionals and community members to recognize, respond to, and report familial trafficking - when a child is exploited by a parent or caregiver. This free training, which will be held at Hope House in Covington (223 W. 28th Avenue) from 6-7:30PM, will be presented by Hope House staff member Cayla Colwell, Youth Trafficking Care Coordinator. As complimentary dinner and refreshments will be provided for all registrants, please allow a 24-hour advance notice if you need to cancel for any reason.
The training will focus on familial trafficking, generational abuse, risk factors, investigation challenges, grooming and control tactics, legal response & framework, understanding victimization, and more.
