Plantation Urban Resort & Spa is pleased to host Human Canvas: Portraits of Identity, a solo photography exhibition by Joaquin Barata. This series features 19 portraits captured across eight countries in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. It explores how, across cultures, the human body tells stories of who we are and where we belong. Through body paint, tattoos, scarification, attire, and symbolic elements, these signs of traditional identity transform individuals into human canvases. It is a visual language through which people express identity, status and tradition.
