About this Event
This book had a traumatic childhood and went into foster care, missing out on learning. She returned to education in her late 30s, taught English for nearly 20 years and is now a full-time published author.
Join us at Kenilworth Library on Wednesday 12th February for our Human Books event!
Human Books are volunteers who share their stories with you, the readers. In 20 minutes, you can learn about a stranger’s life, their journey, and what they’ve learnt along the way, embracing the opportunity to open up and listen to another human being without judgement.
We welcome readers over the age of 18 to these events, as many of our books will be sharing challenging experiences, and potentially using sensitive language.
Please read the titles and blurbs carefully before you select your book and time slot. There are limited slots per book, so please ensure that you cancel ahead of the event if you are unable to attend.
We have various 'books' for you to choose from with different time slots for 1 to 1 sessions.
