About the book
Santi is a tree frog who lives a peaceful life in the Amazon Rainforest. One day, his world is turned upside down in a flood and he finds himself on an unexpected journey that takes him far beyond the comforts of his fishing pond. Join Santi as he paraglides with Octopus, rescues animals in need with Baby Sea Pen, and learns the lessons of courage, trust, and friendship. This book can help kids face new challenges and struggles, get outside their comfort zone, and make friends who look different from them. Santi will teach children to be brave, to try new things, and to understand how their actions affect the world and all its creatures.
About the author
Hui-Ying LeSage immigrated to the U.S. in her teens, a challenging age to start over in a new country while learning a new language. She became a family physician to make a difference in the lives of children of diverse backgrounds and dedicates her life to fighting for equality with compassion and love. She lives with her husband and their cat, DS6, in Washington State. This is her first children’s book and she is excited to share it with everyone!
