7:15p-8:30p Reception
This special event will be an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the Humphrey Fellows at Arizona State University, as well as the legacy of the late Hubert H. Humphrey, former Vice President of the United States and champion of civil rights. We are honored to have as our guest speaker H. E. Ambassador Robin Kakonge, a distinguished diplomat and scholar who has served as the High Commissioner of Canada to South Africa and Lesotho and the Ambassador of Canada to Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Angola. Ambassador Kakonge will share her insights and experiences on leadership, diplomacy, and the importance of education in promoting social and economic development. The ceremony will also include remarks from ASU faculty and Humphrey Fellows, as well as a presentation of awards to outstanding students. We look forward to a memorable evening of reflection, inspiration, and community as we come together to honor the legacy of Hubert H. Humphrey and the achievements of the Humphrey Fellows. Please RSVP by April 20th to confirm your attendance, and feel free to share this invitation with friends and colleagues who may be interested in joining us for this special occasion.
