Inspired by our A MA MANIERE x NIKE "W.Y.W.S" campiagn.
While You Were Dreaming is a creative and educational experience inspired by the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This event is designed for individuals ages 8 and up to explore the power of dreams and storytelling.
Guests will:
1. Watch & Discuss: View Dr. King’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech and discuss its enduring impact on social justice and equality.
2. Create & Share: Write their own story or speech reflecting their dreams for a better world.
3. Design & Express: Craft a unique shoe colorway inspired by their vision and message.
Layout:
Section 1: Welcome Area
• Sign-in and icebreaker activity: “What’s Your Dream?” board where guests write brief aspirations.
Section 2: Screening Space
• Comfortable seating for the viewing of MLK’s speech with a screen and projector.
Section 3: Discussion Zone
• Roundtable setup with moderators facilitating the conversation.
Section 4: Creativity Stations
• Writing Station: Supplies like paper, pens, and prompts to guide guests in crafting their stories.
• Design Station: Shoe templates, colored markers, and digital tools for creating shoe colorways.
Section 5: Showcase Area
• A gallery space to display completed speeches and shoe designs for everyone to admire and celebrate.
This event is a unique blend of history, creativity, and community, allowing participants to honor Dr. King’s dream while envisioning their own.
