This one-day symposium is available to HTNZ members and others to attend both in person and virtually. The Keynote speaker is Luke McCarron an Occupational Therapist with experience in hand therapy and academia. He has completed the Master of Science in Hand Therapy degree at the University of Derby and is currently a PhD candidate at Griffith University studying rehabilitation following Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex (TFCC) foveal repair surgery. Luke is an Accredited Hand Therapist (as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA)) and Certified Hand Therapist and has been the lead or co-author for numerous publications in the last five years. His current roles include Assistant Professor at Bond University, AHTA National Education Manager, and Research Assistant for the Australian Research Collaboration for Hands. Luke’s areas of interest for research include TFCC rehabilitation, research capacity and culture building, upper limb function, and hand and wrist surgery.
