Warhammer 40K Escalation BattlesThis summer, we invite you to assemble your forces and meet up at HobbyTown Fayetteville for weekly training battles and get your 40k factions on the table. We will focus on painting and building and getting your tactics down for basic competitive play with some narrative twists. The league will run from August 15 to November 15.
August 15 - 31: 500 point battleforce. No named characters.
September 1-15: 1000 point battle force. Incursion Battle size
September 15-30: 1500 point battle force. Incursion Battle size
October - November: 2000 point battle force. Strike Force Battle size.
November - 2000 point Tournament. Date to be announced.
Points will be added up and reported every two weeks for both play and painting. Players can submit their three best matches at each point stage for scoring for a total of 9 points. Draws are worth 2 points per match and 1 point per lost match. For each unit you paint, add 1 point up to a maximum of 2 units. League fees will be $10 per month and will earn 1 point towards the league totals. This means if you win all three of your games, then you will be eligible for a total of 12 points if you also paint two units and pay your league fee to be in good standing.
For players that only play in certain months, you will start off with a baseline score and then add from there. For instance, if you start in September, instead of August, you will come into the league with 6 points as long as you pay for September.
Mission Packs for the league matches will be published soon. Play is encouraged at the store, but if you can’t make it in, you can still submit your game as long as your opponent is also in the league.
