Humane Society of South Central Michigan's Canine Training Institute
Dog and Puppy Manners and Socialization Classes
Classes for this six-week session run January 4th to February 8th.
Our classes meet for 45 minutes on Saturday mornings at Pet Supplies Plus. To sign up go to https://hsscm.org/?page_id=245. We also have a limited number of classes available on weekdays that can be scheduled as needed.
Our goals are to strengthen bonds between dogs and people through communication and cooperation. All of our methods are positive and force-free. We teach good manners: polite greetings, walking on a leash without pulling, coming when called, impulse control, and a variety of obedience cues.
Courses are $65 for a six week session. All proceeds from CTI are donated back to the Humane Society of South Central MI to support the animals at the shelter.
Our trainers are Certified Professional Dog Trainers-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT). Between our 3 trainers, we have over 50 years of experience training and working with dogs and horses.
