Come and join us to save the trees of Horseshoe Bend – and possibly save your car from falling trees!When: Saturday, June 7 at 8 a.m. for 2 to 3 hours.
Where: Meet up at the spur on Steeplechase Lane (turn left at Clubside)
What: Go out in pairs or small groups to cut English Ivy that’s choking out trees along Steeplechase Drive
Volunteers will be meeting up to cut ivy at sites where it’s climbing trees on Steeplechase Drive.
Bring your friends, including any brave, strong teenagers; plus:
• Long-handled pruners, small hand saws or hatchets
• Drinking water or hydration drinks
What to wear:
• Long-sleeved shirt and work gloves
• Long pants and socks
• Sturdy, closed-toed shoes
• Sun hat and/or sunscreen
