?Are you ready to learn some funky Boogaloo from our instructors from Colombia? ?What is Boogaloo?

⭐️Boogaloo is often danced to ChaCha rhythm (but can be also to danced to other rhythms). The music and then later the dance became hugely popular in the 1960’s in US and it originated in New York city mainly among teenage Hispanic/Latino and it is characterised by this kind of “funky” street groove and attitude.
⭐️It was born in the streets of New York as there was a mixing of Puerto Ricans, Cubans, and African Americans among others in the clubs. Bands tried to find a common musical ground. Boogaloo was the result of this search mixing many different styles like son montuno, guaguanco, guajira, huarache, mambo, and American R&B and soul.
