The legendary HR of seminal hardcore outfit Bad Brains brings his one of a kind show to Nashville at our own East Room on Feb 7, 2025!About HR
Paul “HR” Hudson is best known as the frontman of the iconic punk band Bad Brains, formed in 1979. With unprecedented speed and precision, Bad Brains took the Washington, DC music scene by storm. They quickly became the most influential band in American punk history, breaking down cultural barriers and creating emotionally charged music centered on the message of maintaining a positive mental attitude (PMA). This concept of PMA continues to inspire HR’s fans.
Early in his career, HR became interested in reggae and the Rastafarian movement. These pursuits transformed him, and he began to focus more on reggae's spiritual nature rather than the punk scene's fast lifestyle. In 1984, HR formed his reggae-rock band Human Rights, which has performed and recorded in various incarnations for almost four decades.
HR's current band has refined yet organic energy that hasn’t been felt since the early days of Human Rights.

Greetings in the name of his Imperial Majesty Jah Ras Tafari. For unto us a son is given and a child is born. His name is Haile Selassie, the incarnation of the Lion of Judah. Let all those who love him praise his name. What is hidden from the wise and the prudent shall be revealed to the babes and the sucklings. We are one and our works have just begun. Soon come, soon deliverance, Inity and love for us all. -HR (Ras Hailu Gabriel Joseph I)
LOOK WHAT I DID
"Look What I Did are the missing link between the Beach Boys and Lightning Bolt" - Metal Hammer Magazine
Formed in Nashville in 2001, Look What I Did have been confusing listeners of all genres ever since. With a litany of releases ranging from self financed to major labels, there is no pinning down this living maelstrom of musical madness. Many years of large, relentless touring and a discography including 2 records produced by Brian Virtue (Deftones, Jane's Addiction, etc) LWID have constantly challenged both themselves and the living breathing elements of musical existence through constant evolution and an illustrative bombastic live show.
STUCK LUCKY
Formed in Nashville in the mid 2000's, Stuck Lucky adopted a uniquely aggressive blend of Ska, Punk and Thrash at a time when none of those genres were particularly sought after. Running strongly ever since with an indescribable amount of tours under their belt, the band have consistently put out quality material and offered intense and incredible live shows to fans both near and far. With a fresh new release "Counting Curses" from Ska Punk International in October of 2024 Stuck Lucky have proven they have the fervor and the fire to keep the train running as hard as ever!
