Symphony no 3 - 'Eroica' (Nonet version)
We are pleased to invite you to the second chamber recital of our 2025-2026 season. This excellent evening of music is presented by the HPO Ensemble, comprising nine of our principal wind and string players.
We have selected an unusual programme of music including a Nonet by Louise Farrenc, a distinguished 19th-century French female composer, and a nonet arrangement of Beethoven's Syphony No 3 - 'Eroica'.
The nonet combination of instruments provides a varied and exciting blend of sounds. Our loyal audience may remember hearing previous dynamic programmes of nonets at the beginning of both our 2022-23 season and our 2023-24 season.
