Howler Comedy Hour

Gol Soccer Bar is home of the monthly standup comedy show, Howler Comedy Houris; conveniently located in heart of SE Portland Oregon. In August and September Howler Comedy Hour was so well received, owner Pete Mahr is thrilled to keep the comedy night going: “It’s a great time, all the comedians are very funny and we love this community, so it works out really well.”

It’s no surprise that this chic, intimate space fills up fast. It’s a free, professionally run show, which has featured top national, regional and local standup acts including: Kyle Kinane, Arlo Weierhauser, Nariko Ott, Jamal Coleman, Dan Weber and many more.

During Howler Comedy Hour, Gol will be offering a full bar and kitchen menu, including happy hour drink specials, $1.50 off pints & well drinks, and a delicious assortment of non-alcoholic beverages. Seating is limited, so early arrival is recommended to ensure a chair. Because this is a free show, cash in the tip jar or Venmo is strongly encouraged, all of which goes directly to the comedians.
