Spooky season is upon us...Time to get runway ready because HOWL-O-WEENIE is BACK on SATURDAY OCT. 12th, 3-5PM at DAT DOG MAGAZINE. Not only is it THE DOG COSTUME CONTEST of the Halloween Season, it's also a great way to support ZEUS' RESCUES while showing off your collie's Dolly. Parton wig!! REGISTRATION to participate in the contest starts at noon and ends at 3pm. Register IN PERSON at Dat Dog Magazine ONLY. You MUST make a donation of either pet products or money to Zeus' Rescues to register. The RUNWAY SHOW kicks off at 3:30pm. ZEUS' DONATION DRIVE will be happening ALL DAY at Dat Dog Magazine, so stop by any time with food, old towels, leashes, toys or anything that could help out their rescue pups and kitties!
Costume contest categories this year are HOT! Nice prizes and sweet validation will be awarded for the following:
-BEST COUPLE (this is one dog + one human presenting together, both in costume)
-BEST FAMILY (this is more than one dog + more than one human presenting together, all in costume)
-BEST GROUP (this is more than one dog presenting together, all in costume)
-BEST SOLO (this is for one dog in costume, presenting alone)
-BEST IN SHOW (this is for the best costume of all, for either dogs or dogs + humans)
We will have a stellar panel of local artists, costumers and designers to judge, so you know the winning costumes will actually be good. Judges on this expert panel to be announced SOON!
There will be more fun, furry happenings during HOWL-O-WEENIE so STAY TUNED for more details. As always, HOWL-O-WEENIE will be guaranteed good, chill fun for the whole fam. Who doesn't love little dogs dressed like dragons prancing down a runway???
