Sparkling winemaking is an art that requires precision, technique, and patience. The Howard Park Global Sparkling Tasting acknowledges this art through an exclusive blind tasting event. This unique experience showcases a selection of rare, coveted, and otherwise unobtainable sparkling wines sourced both locally and internationally, offering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the diversity and esteemed place of sparkling wine in the international wine landscape. Participants will taste over 20 sparkling wines from regions such as the UK, Italy, Champagne, the New World, and beyond. These wines will be assessed, admired, and celebrated in four brackets, with discussions led by an expert panel featuring Nic Bowen (curator & Howard Park chief winemaker), Tyson Stelzer (award-winning author and sparkling wine authority), and Kate Laurie (Deviation Road winemaker & owner).
Throughout the event, guests will be sated with generous bites and can enjoy delectable roaming canapés as they explore the glittering mosaic of effervescence that is sparkling wine.
