How Your Sense of Self Shapes Your World

Join the conversation to discover how a person’s sense of self affects actions and feelings.
About this Event

This in-person workshop will help participants enhance their understanding of how their unique self and experiences shape what they do and how they feel about it. Participants will gain insights about what drives them and why they might find a particular situation fits them or is uncomfortable. Our sense of identity affects almost everything about our lives, including how we make intentional decisions such as job choices, and how we react to situations we are in. Have you ever had a sense that you did or did not fit in somewhere? Identity was a factor.

This workshop can help you get in touch with some aspects of yourself that might not be easy to see, but might explain so much about your direction, choices, what has worked out, what has not.

About the Presenter

Julie Mendosa is a consultant who helps people and organizations understand themselves and align their actions with their goals. She was a professor, program manager, and organizational development consultant in federal government for many years. Julie has a doctor of education degree in adult learning and leadership, two adult kids who graduated from Vienna schools, and two amazing grandbabies in Southern Virginia. Refund, Cancellation, No Show & Re-Scheduling Policy:

Participants who register for the workshop and do not attend or cancel their registration less than 24 hours prior to the start of the program, will not receive a refund.

Refunds (not including the processing fee) will be issued with 24 hour cancellation notice after the program has completed. Please submit your refund request for the event to: [email protected]

Participants who are not able to attend and have contacted the Women’s Center 24 hours prior to the workshop can re-schedule for the same workshop on another day, up to 6 months after the initial workshop date.

Full refunds will be issued for any program cancelled by The Women’s Center. If the program is rescheduled, we will offer to transfer the cost to the new date in lieu of a refund.
