Emma Hislop (Kāti Māmoe, Waitaha, Kāi Tahu; Ruin) poses these questions and more to three fellow kaituhi Māori, Michelle Rahurahu (Ngaati Rahurahu, Ngaati Tahu-Ngaati Whaoa), Shilo Kino (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Te Ata) and Talia Marshall (Ngāti Kuia, Rangitāne o Wairau, Ngāti Rārua, Ngāti Takihiku). Together they kōrero about how where they come from creates layers and informs their work.
