About this Event
The Welsh Government previously announced an ambitious Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) policy to boost recycling rates and tackle the country's waste crisis in line with the rest of Europe, through charging a small, refundable deposit on drinks containers.
However, with policymaking stalled between the devolved administrations and ministers in Westminster, and growing concern a UK-wide DRS may not be introduced until 2028, Wales has a significant opportunity to reaffirm its climate commitments and take bold action to protect the environment.
Join a panel of experts and environmental campaigners to discuss how Wales can lead the way to create a circular economy across the UK and introduce a DRS that maximises our climate ambitions.
