About this Event
The 'How To…' series aims to support staff across Glasgow Caledonian University to plan, manage and engage with activities aligned with key aspects of supporting student learning.
This session supports participants to understand how to investigate and report academic misconduct. Colleagues from the Department of Governance and Legal services will give a brief overview of the Code for Student Conduct, and outline the processes to be followed when investigating and reporting plagiarism, collusion, ghost-writing, the inappropriate use of AI, cheating in exams, and cheating in digital assessments.
Staff participating in the series are encouraged to use the sessions as opportunities for clarifying and exploring each topic in more detail, sharing ideas and experiences and learning with and from peers. These workshops are suitable for all GCU members of staff who have a role in supporting student learning. This may include the following (but is not an exhaustive list):
- Staff who are new to supporting student learning
- Experienced staff wishing to refresh and update knowledge related to supporting student learning
- Staff looking for support and guidance as they undertake, or prepare to undertake specific roles including module leader (ML) or programme leader (PL)
