About this Event
Discover the keys to successful grant development at our upcoming seminar – “Essential Grant Writing Training.”Whether you’re new to grant writing or looking to sharpen your skills, this free, full-day session is designed to give community-based organizations and public agencies practical tools to compete for funding.
Supervisor Shanelle Scales-Preston, Contra Costa County District 5, invites you to join Dr. David E. Fraser—Public Administration faculty at Cal State East Bay and Chief of Staff to District 5—for an in-depth, hands-on exploration of the full grant cycle. Participants will learn how to move from concept to funder alignment, design persuasive proposals, build logic models, create strong budgets, and develop measurable evaluation plans.
The seminar also includes a focused module on ethical grant writing, emphasizing transparency, community alignment, and mission-driven storytelling. Complimentary refreshments, including coffee, pastries, and lunch, will be provided.
