In-Depth Buddhist teachings on the mind itself, with Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Rabka. Thursday evenings, 7:30 - 9pm (Apr - Jun)
About this Event

“Happiness and suffering are feelings – parts of our mind – and so their main causes are not to be found outside the mind. If we really want to be truly happy and free from suffering we must improve our understanding of the mind.” – Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

We often say, “My mind, my mind,” but if someone were to ask us, “What is your mind?” we would likely find it quite difficult to answer. Since happiness and suffering are states of mind, if we are to find the happiness we seek, an understanding of our mind is essential.

Join us for an in-depth exploration of Buddha's profound teachings on the mind itself. This series started in February and will continue over several months through to June. Our guidebook throughout this series will be “How to Understand the Mind” by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. Through learning how our mind works, we can begin to bring our mind under progressively more control, and in this way improve the quality of our life, both now and in the future.

This class is open to everyone regardless of experience, and you're welcome to join us at any time for any class. Do note however, that this is an in-depth Buddhist class and will therefore assume some knowledge of the deeper aspects of Buddhism such as past and future lives and karma.
