About this Event
This seminar offers an in-depth exploration of School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV) with a special focus on educational institutions, including schools and kindergartens in the Kakheti region of Georgia. The session will highlight the challenges and manifestations of SRGBV, examining the cultural, social, and educational factors contributing to the phenomenon.
The event will also emphasize gender-responsive pedagogy, providing strategies and tools for educators to address and prevent gender-based violence in school settings. Key findings from a comprehensive study, supported by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation's Fundamental Research State Grants, will be presented. These intervention suggestions are based on baseline research findings and offer policy recommendations to promote more inclusive and gender-sensitive educational environments.
