Together we study tango’s “yeites”- 😎 the tricks for phrasing, dynamics, and expression that feel verrrry tango. :) If you are a singer (or someone that loves to sing) and want to understand *that* tango sound, come to this workshop. Practice sessions to follow.
Workshop attendees are also invited to a student showcase Tuesday December 9th at 20h at Botanicar, with accompaniment from Juan on the tango of your choice. :). Let’s enrich our tango community by showcasing our growing (and professional) musicians!

About Juan:
Juan Villarreal is a widely respected tango singer, guitarist, and composer from Argentina. He actively participates in various music ensembles such as Orquesta El Arranque and Duo Villarreal Crom- performing concerts throughout the Americas and Europe. He’s recorded several albums, most notably "D'Arienzo en guitarras" with guitarist Patricio Crom- a tribute to Juan D'Arienzo, and "Moderno Trovador", an intimate collection of original tango songs.
As a producer, he has participated in numerous projects- notably the documentary film Amar Amando (2018), directed by Yael Szmulewicz, and the online concert series Tango en la Terraza (2020).
Since 2010, Juan has been dedicated to teaching, offering workshops, group classes, and private lessons in Buenos Aires in the private sector. Since 2023, he has been a vocal teacher for the prestigious Tango for Musicians project, part of the Tango Sin Fin Association. (https://tangosinfin.org.ar)
