How to set up your own food buisness

The course is hands-on and runs one evening a week over five weeks

We cover the following:

• Concept and product development
• Assessing the market
• Basic business planning – startup and operating costs
• Setting up and registering a food premises
• Food safety and hygiene training
• Self-employment guidelines
• Setting up a limited company or social enterprise.
• Legislation and regulations
• Marketing and customer engagement

Trainees receive dinner and refreshments, a detailed handbook packed with resources and a certificate.

Succesful graduates will receive ongoing mentoring which includes the subsidised use of a commercial kitchen.
