Cost $35Knitters who want to become more confident in their knitting. They need to be able to
knit/purl, and at a minimum knit flat pieces. Also appropriate for anyone who is able to do higher
level but has difficulty fixing their mistakes.
Please Do Your Homework Before Class!
-Three hour workshop
Students will need 3 swatches prior to class that are half finished (See handout below). We
will work on dropping and fixing stitches within these swatches as well as figuring out what was
done several rows below and how to fix it. 3 hour class
Materials needed:
Solid color yarn made into swatches that are not bound off: Lighter color will be much better.
Crochet hook
Darning needle
Yarn is to be purchased from Wool and Whimsy yarn shop.
Other tools are also available through Wool and Whimsy.
Reading your Knitting Homework:
Swatch 1 Stockinette:
CO 30
Knit 6 rows
Row 7(WS): K4, P to last 4 stitches, K to end
Row 8(RS): K all stitches
Repeat rows 7-8 2 more times
Repeat Row 7
Next row (RS): K10, P1, K10, P2, K to the end
Repeat rows 7-8, [4] more times
Store this swatch on needles until class or on a holder you can transfer back to needles
Swatch 2 Garter:
CO 30
Knit 10 rows
Row 11: K10, P2, K10, P1, K to end
Knit 8 more rows
Store this swatch on needles until class or on a holder you can transfer back to needles.
Swatch 3 Seed Stitch:
CO 30
Row 1: [K1,P1], repeat to end.
Row 2: [K1,P1], repeat to end
Repeat Row 1-2, until you have approx. 3 inches
